Silvia Imwinkelried Managing Director If you’ve spent any time in Bettmeralp, you probably know Silvia. Originally from Dresden, she has lived up here for more than 30 years. She’s rooted in the mountain, yet always looks beyond the horizon. Today she runs the Alpfrieden with heart and head in the third generation. Her husband is a grandson of the founding family, and together they keep the story of the house alive. With plenty of experience in hotels, restaurants and tourism, a great sense of empathy, genuine intuition and a touch of dry humour, Silvia makes sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone feels at home: guests, staff and neighbours alike. For many years she served on the local council and worked for the Aletsch cable cars – Silvia always thinks beyond her own backyard. Talk to her for a minute and you’ll notice: here’s someone who loves to laugh, likes to roll up her sleeves and is happiest wherever life is happening.
Marius Zula Head Chef Having grown up at the Alpfrieden, Marius knows every corner of the house, and he brings his love of the region straight to your plate. As head chef, he combines down-to-earth Alpine cooking with a fine feel for big flavour moments. Sometimes classic, sometimes creative, but always full of character: every bite reflects his passion for his craft. Marius creates dishes you’ll remember.
Christian Hausstein F&B Service Manager Christian comes from Berlin, but his heart has belonged to Bettmeralp for a long time. For a few years now, he has made sure everything in the restaurant runs like clockwork. Direct, funny and with a wealth of hospitality experience, he always lets you know where you stand. No frills, just honest hospitality blending vibrant Berlin charm with genuine Valais warmth. A character with a few rough edges and his heart in the right place.
